About

Hi 👋🏻,
My name is Isabelle and I’m starting this blog in order to document my journey with POTS and other chronic illnesses.

I used do figure skating, dressage and working equitation at a high level, until my health declined. In 2018 I developed and eating disorder (bulimia) which later turned into Anorexia in 2020, resulting in long term health effects. It then turned into bulimia again, which I am now recovered from.

I’ve had some ups and downs health wise, which started with problems in my calves that forced me to quit running, followed by back pain, concussions, hypersomnia, hypothyroidism, raynauds and a back injury that forced me to quit skating. I’m also a late diagnosed autistic.

On the 25th of December 2023 I woke up feeling sick and never recovered. No one took me seriously until I got a seizure at school and ended up in the hospital. I’ve now been diagnosed with POTS, hypothyroidism, hypersomnia and antiphospholipid syndrome.

I still have my horses and my goal is to compete at a high level despite being chronically ill. Welcome on my journey!
